Rachel webster

Rachel has extensive employment, commercial and corporate law experience gained from General Counsel and other senior in-house positions with large New Zealand companies (including privately held, publicly listed and foreign owned). This 'at the coalface' experience means that Rachel gives pragmatic, strategic solutions to your legal issues.

Rachel has particular expertise and interest in employment related matters and she is passionate about working along side clients to provide effective tailored solutions and to resolve employment disputes.

Rachel is also passionate about property and develops property in the Waikato region. When Rachel is not working, she will be found wrangling two young children and two German Shepherds.

rachel alexander

Rachel is a commercial lawyer specialising in contracts. Her experience in both private practice and in house environments means that she understands the importance of balancing legal and commercial needs and enjoys taking a collaborative approach with her clients and going the extra mile. 

Rachel has supported her clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, some examples include contract queries, terms of trade and contract formation, shareholders’ agreements, consumer issues and privacy obligations and sometimes provides support on employment matters.

Being a parent to three young ones has helped Rachel to fine-tune her skills in negotiation, multitasking, settling disputes and ensuring everyone’s needs are met! When she is not working or enjoying family time you might find Rachel hiking up the side of a mountain.

Natalie fennell

Natalie is a seasoned business lawyer with over 20 years of diverse experience in corporate and commercial law, both in-house and in private practice, in NZ and overseas, spanning various industries. Having worked in both small and large firms, and a business owner herself, she understands the dynamic nature of business and offers insightful, personalised and commercially pragmatic legal solutions.

Natalie is a specialist in business sales and acquisitions, shareholder arrangements, corporate governance and helping clients navigate the complexities of both day-to-day commercial contracts and contracts for strategic projects.

She is committed to creating better contracts for businesses, is clear and concise in communications, excels at project management, and is passionate about innovation in the legal industry.

When she’s not also juggling the demands of three young children and community involvement Natalie loves a good pinot gris, travel and running.

GEMMA RUTHERFORD

Gemma has close to 15 years experience specialising in property law at a boutique Auckland firm where she acted for everyone from first home buyers and retirees to landlords and property developers. 

More recently Gemma has focused on cross lease conversions and subdivisions. 

Gemma is passionate about providing friendly but efficient and pragmatic service to her clients. 

Outside of work, Gemma is a mum to two small children. If she has a moment of peace and quiet she will be found snuggled up with a book or engrossed in a wasgij.

Scott Fry

Scott is a seasoned Employment Relations and Health and Safety Consultant with over a decade of experience. Known for his practical, no-nonsense approach, Scott has built a reputation for delivering tangible results. His extensive knowledge and keen attention to detail enable him to navigate complex workplace issues with precision and effectiveness.  His smart, strategic thinking, combined with a hands-on approach, ensures that organizations not only comply with regulatory requirements but also cultivate a safe and productive work environment.

Scott's expertise spans across various sectors, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within different industries. He excels in conducting thorough risk assessments, developing customized health and safety plans, and resolving employment disputes efficiently.

Outside of work, Scott will be found spending time with his family, at the gym or watching the Warriors play!

ebony mason

Ebony has over 20 years’ experience in the legal industry and specialises in property law. She has acted on numerous property and financial transactions including advising first home buyers, large scale property developers, agricultural and commercial clients, and clients entering rest home care. Having practised in Christchurch she is also aware of the complex insurance issues that can arise and has advised on many construction contracts for both builders and homeowners.  

Working for a diverse client base has also allowed her to gain knowledge in wider personal law matters such as asset planning, trust structuring and succession planning, wills and powers of attorney. Her extensive experience has led to a natural progression into the more commercial areas of property law, including subdivisions, commercial leasing, business acquisitions, and banking and finance.

Ebony can navigate complex transactions in the best interest of her clients and offers efficient and practical advice and solutions. She is approachable and friendly, and prides herself on her attention to detail and delivering a high standard of service and advice.

When not spending time with family, Ebony enjoys curling up with a good book and her favourite pinot noir, cooking and travel.
