Receiving a personal grievance (PG) from one of your employees (or ex-employees) can be a very unsettling time. We highly recommend getting our experienced team on board early to increase your chances of dealing with the PG efficiently and with the least amount of exposure to your business. It will also take a lot of pressure off your team having the guidance of a team who know this process like the back of their hands. To remove uncertainty of legal cost in this process, we offer a fixed fee for assisting employers who find themselves faced with a personal grievance (details below). $1,999 + GST*

This fixed fee includes:

  • initial consult/conversation with your team to discuss the personal grievance and your response to it;

  • drafting a formal written response to the personal grievance and providing it to the employee/ex-employee;

  • conversation to prepare your team for mediation; and

  • representing you at a half day mediation (which we will attend by Zoom unless the mediation is in Hamilton).

If the PG is resolved prior to mediation then the total fee charged will correlate to the time we have spent working on the matter should that equate to less than $1,999 + GST (i.e. the maximum you will be charged is $1,999 + GST, but for matters that are resolved promptly and without mediation you will be charged less).
